No Toxic Chemicals Found in Snacks Linked to Naledi Children’s Deaths

In Johannesburg, investigations continue into the deaths of six children in Naledi, with Environmental Health Practitioner Lucky Tshihanyise reporting that no toxic chemicals were found in the snacks believed to be linked to their deaths.

Many schoolchildren have fallen seriously ill after consuming food purchased from spaza shops.

Tshihanyise emphasized the need for additional manpower to aid in the investigation.
