Deputy President Paul Mashatile Opens London Stock Exchange to Strengthen SA-UK Relations

Deputy President Paul Mashatile officially opened the London Stock Exchange (LSE) today in the United Kingdom as part of efforts to enhance trade and investment ties between South Africa and the UK.

The visit, according to the Presidency, aims to bolster economic cooperation and create new opportunities for investment between the two nations.

This follows a successful working visit to Ireland, where the Deputy President focused on advancing trade relations and collaboration in science, innovation, education, and skills development.

Both visits are part of South Africa’s broader strategy to foster international partnerships and attract foreign investment.
