A tragic incident has unfolded in Newcastle, KwaZulu-Natal, where a 22-year-old man, Clement Hadebe, was brutally murdered after disclosing his sexuality to a stranger.
Hadebe met the alleged killer last Sunday while out with friends. After purchasing drinks at KwaMai Mai Market in Johannesburg, the man invited Hadebe home.
According to friends, Hadebe’s friends warned him to disclose his sexuality to the man, but he chose not to. Tragically, this decision led to a fatal outcome.
The following day, Hadebe was found dead at a Johannesburg bed and breakfast, having been shot nine times. It is believed that the man he met at the market is responsible for the murder.
Friends of Hadebe have expressed their shock and dismay over the incident, calling it a heinous crime. They believe that Hadebe was targeted and killed due to his sexual orientation.
