Durban Police Commissioner Demands Answers Following Viral Assault Video

Durban – KwaZulu-Natal police commissioner, Nhlanhla Mkhwanazi, is demanding answers after a viral video surfaced showing police officers assaulting a person during an operation in Tongaat.

The footage depicts officers attacking the victim in what appears to be an unprovoked act, with one officer continuing to kick the suspect while he is already on the ground.

Commissioner Mkhwanazi announced that the incident would be investigated and stated that if the officers are found to have acted outside the South African Police Service (SAPS) code of conduct, they would face prosecution.
