The United States has announced a $5 million reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of Ruja Ignatova, one of the FBI’s most wanted fugitives, who is reportedly hiding in Cape Town, South Africa.
Ignatova, also known as the “Crypto Queen,” is wanted on multiple charges, including Conspiracy to Commit Wire Fraud, Wire Fraud, Money Laundering, and Securities Fraud. Since 2014, she is alleged to have orchestrated a massive scam, defrauding victims of over $4 billion across Europe and beyond.
Although there have been rumors of her death, German authorities continue to investigate the possibility that she is alive and residing in South Africa.
The case has drawn global attention.
