Mzansi Magic Cancels Fan-Favorite Telenovelas: Big Changes in 2025 Line-Up
Mzansi Magic recently made waves by canceling its popular telenovela Gqeberha: The Empire, and now, two more top-performing shows—Umkhokha: The Curse and My Brother’s Keeper—are also set to end.
Both series, which captivated fans over two successful seasons, will conclude in early 2025 to make way for a fresh lineup of new productions.
Umkhokha: The Curse, featuring stars like Deli Malinga, Sibonile Ngubane, and Gcinile Nkosi, will wrap up in February 2025, while My Brother’s Keeper, known for its dynamic cast including Sdumo Mtshali, Wiseman Mncube, and Zola Nombona, will end in April.
