Bottle Girl Claims Assault by Zodwa WaBantu at Mpumalanga Event
What started as a fun night out turned into a nightmare for 26-year-old bottle girl Tebogo Makgoba, who claims she was assaulted by dancer Zodwa WaBantu at a gig in Delmas, Mpumalanga.
Tebogo, from Mamelodi, Tshwane, attended the event with a DJ friend on Saturday night, 2 November, where they were given VIP treatment.
Zodwa, also hired to perform, joined their table, but Tebogo says Zodwa seemed unfriendly from the start, mentioning a mutual friend’s crush on Tebogo, which they ignored.
The trouble reportedly began as they left in the early hours of the morning, spotting Zodwa in an argument with her boyfriend outside.
Tebogo claims Zodwa suddenly attacked her, hitting and kicking her until she fell to the ground, where Zodwa allegedly continued pulling her hair and slapping her. Tebogo says she asked why she was being attacked but received insults in response.
As a result, Tebogo says she suffered a damaged hairline, swollen lips, bruised knees, a broken phone screen, and damaged braces.
Disappointed by Zodwa’s behavior, Tebogo says she respected her and now wants justice.
