Louisa Molokoane, daughter of the late gospel star Solly Moholo, has finally responded to criticism after a video of her luxury shopping spree went viral.
The video, which shows Louisa carrying expensive Louis Vuitton and Gucci shopping bags while flanked by armed security, stirred controversy online, with many accusing her of wasting her father’s insurance payout just weeks after his passing.
In her social media post, Louisa defended herself against the backlash, challenging critics to provide proof of any alleged mismanagement of donation funds.

She explained that the money she used was an advance from a single benefactor who assisted them during a difficult time, emphasizing that their intentions were not to flaunt wealth but to highlight the importance of helping those in need.
Louisa also addressed concerns about her father’s legacy, pointing out that he dedicated much of his life to helping others.

She noted the irony of people questioning her spending habits while remembering that prior to Moholo’s death, his family had requested R700,000 in donations for his medical expenses.
Louisa urged others to avoid making assumptions about her situation, stating that dealing with a loved one’s illness is a heart-wrenching experience that should not be judged from the outside.
