South Africa’s ‘Steve Irwin’ Graham “Dingo” Dinkelman Dies After Green Mamba Bite

SA’s ‘Steve Irwin’, Dingo Dinkelman, dies after green mamba bite

Graham “Dingo” Dinkelman, fondly known as South Africa’s “Steve Irwin,” has passed away following a green mamba bite.

The passionate animal lover, who shared his thrilling encounters with reptiles on his popular YouTube channel, reportedly went into anaphylactic shock after being bitten.

Dingo’s wife, Kirsty, confirmed that after the bite, which occurred a month ago, Dingo was kept heavily sedated in the hospital, fighting for recovery.

Sadly, he succumbed to his injuries on October 2, surrounded by family. Kirsty shared a heartfelt tribute, acknowledging his strength and the warmth he brought to his loved ones and fans.

Dingo is survived by his wife and their three children, who plan to honor his legacy by sharing his passion for wildlife conservation.

This wasn’t Dingo’s first dangerous encounter; he had previously been bitten by both green and black mambas, nearly losing his life.

Dingo’s tragic story mirrors that of Australia’s Steve Irwin, who also lost his life after an animal encounter in 2006.

Irwin, a beloved zookeeper, was fatally stung by a stingray barb. Like Irwin’s family, Dingo’s loved ones plan to carry on his conservation mission, ensuring his legacy lives on.
