e-tv Cancels Isiphetho Destiny After Just One Season
End of Isiphetho: Destiny As It's Canned
In a surprising move, e-tv has officially announced the cancellation of Isiphetho Destiny, ending any hope for a second season.
Despite being on the air for only nine months, the network confirmed that the current season will run until its finale on April 4, 2025.
The show, which quickly gained a dedicated audience, features a stellar cast including Gugu Gumede, Linda Sokhulu, Mjosti Mbhele, and Mbalenhle Mavimbela.
According to Vuyelwa Booi, Manager of Local Programming at e-tv, the channel is grateful to Black Brain Pictures for creating a story that touched on themes of community, friendship, and second chances.
Booi said, “The captivating tale of four friends in Mzimhlope resonated with viewers, sparking conversations and keeping them glued to their screens.”
Although fans are disappointed by the news, Black Brain Pictures’ Executive Producer, Mpumelelo Nhlapo, expressed pride in the show and appreciation for the entire production team.
