Former Cabinet Minister Ngoako Ramatlhodi paid tribute to Tito Mboweni, revealing that the former finance minister passed away feeling unhappy about the current state of the ANC.

Ramatlhodi mentioned that Mboweni did not support the ANC’s decision to form a government of national unity (GNU) and often shared his concerns about the party and the country’s future.

Ramatlhodi recalled their deep conversations, revealing that Mboweni had sent him a quote from Charles Dickens’ A Tale of Two Cities, reflecting the challenging times they felt the nation was facing.

Tito Mboweni’s special official funeral was held at Nkowankowa Stadium, where President Cyril Ramaphosa delivered the eulogy.

The former finance minister passed away on October 12 after a brief illness and was laid to rest at Bordeaux cemetery. His death marked the end of a significant chapter in South African politics.
