Minister Gayton McKenzie is encouraging South Africans to attend Chris Brown’s upcoming concert despite a petition calling for its cancellation.

The petition was initiated by the Women For Change organisation, urging people to boycott the show due to Chris Brown’s history of violence against women.

The petition has sparked mixed reactions, with some South Africans backing the organisation while others are against it.

However, during a recent media briefing, the Minister of Sports, Arts, and Culture, Gayton McKenzie, openly supported the event.

McKenzie highlighted the nation’s love for music and international artists, stating, “South Africans love dancing.

Chris Brown’s concert was sold out in two hours. Our people are hungry for international acts.” He further encouraged locals, saying, “Don’t go any further, go to the Chris Brown concert.”

Chris Brown, on the other hand, seems unfazed by the petition. He responded to the controversy by commenting on the organisation’s post, saying, “I can’t wait to come.”
