Tito Mboweni’s Alleged ‘Slay Queen’ Ex Shares Condolences

Lerato Makgatho, the influencer and podcaster once involved in a “love triangle” with Tito Mboweni, has shared her thoughts following his death.

Makgatho, known for her appearance on reality TV, revealed she dated the former Minister of Finance over a decade ago but ended the relationship because he “wasn’t a freak in bed.”

Tito Mboweni passed away after a short illness, leaving behind three children.

According to his brother Alto, the former finance minister died in a Johannesburg hospital on Saturday night, surrounded by family.

The Mboweni family has not revealed the cause of death but will announce funeral arrangements soon.

In recent months, Tito had been traveling to places like Ghana, Rwanda, and Malaysia. His last tweet was on 1 October, marking his final social media activity before his passing.

Lerato Makgatho, who previously made headlines for her controversial relationships with both Tito and Mineral Resources Minister Gwede Mantashe, reflected on her past with Mboweni.

She once claimed that she broke up with Tito due to financial dissatisfaction and his reserved nature in the bedroom. However, she later backtracked, praising his skills.

Following his death, Makgatho shared a heartfelt post on Facebook: “RIP Tito Mboweni. May we find strength during these difficult times.”
