Mpumi Mpama Hospitalized After Set Injury

Mpumi Mpama, who recently replaced Siyabonga Thwala in Empini, was injured on set during a fight scene rehearsal.
According to insiders, Mpama was hurt while practicing with a fellow cast member and was quickly taken to the hospital for medical attention.
Concerned crew members even sent a letter to the production team, urging them to address safety issues on set.

Mpama, who replaced Siyabonga Twala as Khaya Bodoza on Empini, sustained injuries during a rehearsal of a fight scene with a fellow cast member on the set of the Showmax action series.

Showmax’s PR specialist, Zibuyile Dladla, confirmed that Mpama was treated as a precautionary measure and given time off to recover. Thankfully, he is now in good health and has returned to work.
Empini, a popular drama series, also features stars like Nqobile Sipamla and Nambitha Ben-Mazwi.
Mpama took over the role of Khaya Bhodoza, a powerful businessman and political figure, previously played by Siyabonga Thwala. Fans have been excited to see Mpama’s portrayal of this key character.
