Sindi Majola Defends Herself: “I Am Not Poor” Amid Viral Video Controversy

Legendary actress Sindi Majola, known for her past relationship with the late pop star Brenda Fassie, has finally spoken out after a viral social media video depicted her looking distressed in the streets of Yeoville.

In an interview with Zimoja, the former Rhythm City actress asserted that she is not in need of assistance and is not poor. “I am just going through my journey. God bless you all,” she stated firmly.

Despite the viral video leading many to speculate about her financial situation, Majola has told close friends that she does not consider herself a charity case.

The video resurfaced old pictures of her with Brenda Fassie, prompting social media users to conclude that she is struggling.

According to a friend of Majola, the former Yizo Yizo star is currently selling second-hand clothes. Majola reportedly left the entertainment industry after realizing the people around her were not genuine.

She expressed her displeasure about being filmed without her consent, which contributed to her recent emotional state.

Sindi Majola rose to fame in 2002 when she publicly revealed her relationship with Brenda Fassie. She is well-known for her role as Sindi Sibiya in the SABC1 soccer drama Zone 14 from 2005 to 2008.

Her impressive career includes appearances in e.tv’s Backstage as Lindi Shabalala, the mother of Tsotsi in the Oscar-winning film Tsotsi (2006), and roles in popular shows such as Yizo Yizo, Erfsondes, The Lab, Heartlines, and Jacob’s Cross.

She also portrayed nurse Constance in Rhythm City from 2009 to 2011 and appeared in Mzansi Magic’s Isithembiso in 2017.

Despite the challenges, Sindi Majola remains resilient and committed to her personal journey.
