DDG and Halle Bailey Announce Breakup After Heartfelt Decision

DDG and Halle Bailey have officially ended their relationship. The rapper announced the news in an Instagram Story on Thursday, October 3, sharing that after much thought and emotional conversations, they decided to go their separate ways.

“This decision was not easy, but we believe it’s the best path forward for both of us. I cherish the time we’ve spent together and the love we’ve shared,” DDG said.

The couple, who went public with their relationship in January 2022, welcomed their son Halo in late 2023.

They gave fans a first look at their baby boy during a trip to Italy in July. Despite their breakup, DDG assured fans that they will remain close and focused on co-parenting.

“Even with the changes, our love for each other remains deep. We are still best friends and adore each other. As we focus on our individual journeys and co-parenting, we treasure the bond and memories we’ve created,” DDG added.

Breakup rumors surfaced in April when the couple allegedly unfollowed each other on Instagram and removed some of their shared photos.

Around the same time, Halle opened up about experiencing postpartum depression, sharing how difficult it was to be away from her son for extended periods.

Just last week, the pair were spotted together at Usher’s Past Present Future Tour in Los Angeles. DDG ended his message asking for fans’ “understanding and support” during this time.

“As we navigate this transition, we ask for your understanding and support. Thank you for your love and encouragement.”
