[WATCH] ‘It feels like I failed’: Shebeshxt Discusses His Daughter
Shebeshxt Opens Up About Losing His Daughter and Life After Tragic Accident
Talented musician Lehlogonolo Chauke, better known as Shebeshxt, has opened up about the deep pain he feels after losing his nine-year-old daughter, Onthatile Chuene.
The rapper, who was recently involved in a serious car accident, shared his emotional journey during an interview.
Shebeshxt, known for hits like Ambulance, expressed the overwhelming grief of losing his daughter.
“It feels like I’ve failed as a father. This pain will stay with me for the rest of my life. I lived for my daughter—she was my only reason for living.”
Onthatile was laid to rest on 22 June at Lebowakgomo cemetery in Zone F. The loss has left Shebeshxt struggling to cope, though he continues to honor her memory.
Following his accident, the Limpopo rapper took to Facebook Live to update fans on his recovery, revealing scars on his ears and leg.
However, the emotional scars of losing his daughter seem to weigh even heavier. “Every night I go to bed crying, trying to stay strong. She may not be here physically, but spiritually, I know she’s with me. Onthatile, my daughter, my life.”
