Kaizer Chiefs Mourn the Passing of Coach Ilyes Mzoughi's Mother

Kaizer Chiefs confirmed the heartbreaking news of the passing of goalkeeping coach Ilyes Mzoughi’s mother, Hasna Mansour, on Thursday.

Following the news, Mzoughi was granted compassionate leave to return to his homeland to be with his family during this difficult time.

In a statement on the Kaizer Chiefs website, the club expressed their deep sympathy, saying, “The entire Kaizer Chiefs Family stands in solidarity with Ilyes and his loved ones.”

Executive Chairman Dr. Kaizer Motaung also shared his condolences, stating, “We are deeply saddened by the passing of Ilyes’ mother. On behalf of the Kaizer Chiefs family, we send our heartfelt condolences to Ilyes and his family during this time of loss.”

The club extended their thoughts and prayers to the Mzoughi family, wishing them the strength to endure this grief. “May her soul rest in eternal peace,” they added.

Kaizer Chiefs will return to Betway Premiership action on Saturday, 28 September, when they host Mamelodi Sundowns at FNB Stadium, with kick-off scheduled for 15:00.
