Former ‘Generations’ Star Roderick Jaftha Begs for Donations

Former Generations Star Roderick Jaftha Pleads for Donations Amid Financial Struggles

Veteran South African actor Roderick Jaftha, known for his role as Glen Majozi on Generations, has turned to social media to ask his fans for help.

The beloved actor revealed that he is struggling financially and cannot afford basic necessities for his family, including food for his four children.

Jaftha shared that he hasn’t been able to secure acting jobs for a while and is now battling to make ends meet.

He told ZiMoja, “I don’t even have food for my kids today. I’m trying to figure out how to pay rent, and two of my kids are still in school.”

Despite reaching out to Minister of Sport, Arts, and Culture Gayton McKenzie for assistance, Jaftha has not received any support.

He explained that his struggle to land roles in new productions stems from his inability to speak vernacular languages like Zulu or Xhosa, which are in high demand in the industry.

“I can only speak English and Afrikaans, which makes it difficult to get significant roles,” Jaftha said.

The once-popular actor is now relying on the generosity of his fans and followers to help him through these tough times.
