Kwaito legend Mapaputsi, real name Sandile Ngwenya, has tragically passed away.

The news was confirmed by his former manager, Busisiwe Kunene, who revealed that he died on Thursday evening.

Born in Zola, Soweto, Mapaputsi’s music career took off in the early 2000s. He gained widespread recognition for his 2001 album, “Izinja.” His distinctive style and contributions to the kwaito genre earned him numerous accolades.
