A 21-year-old man has been arrested following the discovery of the body of Reneé Lea, co-owner of a Pick n Pay Family franchise, in the boot of her stolen Range Rover.

The tragic incident unfolded on August 24 in Pretoria, hours after Lea was reported missing from her home in Standerton.

Lea was allegedly overpowered and forcibly removed from her residence. CCTV footage captured her vehicle leaving Standerton at 8:11 PM, indicating the likely time of her kidnapping.

When police apprehended the suspect, they found Lea’s body hidden under a carpet, along with three firearms (one of which was a replica), laptops, cash, and her cellphone.
