WATCH | Police Trainees and Specialized Units Evacuated After Gas Explosion
JOHANNESBURG – More than 2,500 police trainees, SAPS trainers, and members from specialized units were evacuated following a gas pipeline explosion at a nearby business site adjacent to the SAPS Tshwane Training Academy.
National Commissioner of SAPS, General Fannie Masemola, ordered the evacuation based on expert advice. The training academy itself remains unaffected, and the evacuation is a precautionary measure to ensure safety.

General Masemola emphasized that the safety of police trainees and personnel is a top priority.
