A man from Rondebult, Ekurhuleni, was astonished to find his stolen goods returned after consulting a sangoma. Kgomotso Zitha had lost a laptop and two TVs during a break-in.
After seeking advice from a friend, Zitha visited sangoma James Chuma. Chuma provided him with a muthi (traditional medicine) to sprinkle in his yard.
According to Zitha, the muthi was believed to influence the thieves and compel them to return the stolen items.
To Zitha’s surprise, he encountered the thieves returning his belongings just a few days later. While he initially considered confronting them, he ultimately decided to let them go.
The sangoma, James Chuma, claims to have helped numerous clients recover stolen items through his traditional practices.
This incident has sparked discussions about the effectiveness of traditional healing methods and the unusual ways in which stolen goods can be recovered.
