American rapper Nicki Minaj was arrested on Saturday at Schiphol Airport in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, for allegedly carrying drugs.
Minaj took to X (formerly known as Twitter) to share details of the incident. She claimed airport authorities found pre-rolled joints and took her bags without her consent. “Now they said they found weed and that another group of ppl have to come here to weigh the pre-rolls. Keep in mind they took my bags without my consent,” Minaj tweeted. She also mentioned that her security team informed authorities that the pre-rolls belonged to him.
The rapper, who is a 2-time Grammy nominee, was live on Instagram during her arrest and posted the video on her account. In the footage, a police officer stated she was being detained for “carrying drugs” and ordered her to enter a police vehicle.

Nicki Minaj denied the accusations and requested to have her lawyer present.
