VIDEO: President Ramaphosa’s Response Crushes Jobless Young Woman’s Hopes

Slindokuhle Khoza, 23, felt a mix of excitement and hope when President Cyril Ramaphosa called her over during his walk in Orange Farm, Johannesburg, this weekend. However, her joy turned to disappointment when the president’s response to her jobless status was to “keep searching”.

In a conversation captured on video, Khoza expressed her initial shock and subsequent irritation, feeling crushed by the president’s advice after hoping for more substantial assistance.

A graduate in communication from North West University, Khoza has been diligently searching for work since completing her studies. Despite her efforts, she has only managed to secure temporary employment as a cleaner, earning a meager income that leaves her heavily reliant on her single mother for support.

Feeling frustrated by the lack of job opportunities, Khoza attended the president’s event in hopes of finding assistance but left disheartened by his response.

While Ramaphosa’s spokesperson suggested registering on the SA Youth Mobi platform for job opportunities, Khoza’s disappointment reflects the challenges many young graduates face in securing meaningful employment. – SowetanLive
