TAXI STRIKE: Santaco Extends Stayaway Pending Resolution from Cape Town Authorities
The South African National Taxi Council (Santaco) has told the City of Cape Town and the Western Cape Government that it wants to keep its stayaway action going until a solution is found.
Santaco’s Mandla Hermanus informed Western Cape Mobility MEC Ricardo Mackenzie of their decision in a letter, citing the stalemate as the reason.
The letter, which was written on August 9, explains why the strike is still going on despite attempts to reach an agreement.
