There is, however, a technique that can assist you in breaking down your work into smaller, more manageable pieces so that you can finish it quicker. It’s known as the Pomodoro Technique!

The Pomodoro Technique divides work time into short, focused bursts with breaks in between. Each period of work is referred to as a “Pomodoro,” which is simply an Italian word for “tomato.” The technique was named after a tomato-shaped timer, so that’s where the name comes from!
Here’s how it works:
First, you choose a task that needs to be completed, such as reading a chapter of a book or practicing your multiplication tables. Then you set a timer for 25 minutes (the standard length of one Pomodoro). During those 25 minutes, you must concentrate entirely on your task and avoid being distracted by anything else. When the timer goes off, you take a 5-minute break to rest your brain and recharge.
After your break, you begin another Pomodoro and return to your task. You repeat this process until you’ve completed four pomodoros, at which point you take a 15-30 minute break.
This longer break is a reward for all the hard work you’ve done, and it gives your brain a chance to fully rest and recover.
The Pomodoro Technique is a great way to make big tasks feel less overwhelming and more manageable. By breaking your work into smaller pieces and giving yourself breaks in between, you can stay focused and get more done in less time.
